纽约报道——资深跨文化评论家、作家及影像创作者程一若（J.J. Cheng）呈献最新紀錄片《宇宙光灵——天体和谐的交响》（COSMIC LIGHTBEINGS – A Symphony of Celestial Harmony）。这是一场将美国艺术家兰道·迪朱塞佩（Randall DiGiuseppe）与中国诗人、艺术家黄翔（Huang Xiang）共同创作的绘画、诗歌与书法融为一体的艺术盛宴——令人惊叹的是，他们的作品竟汇聚于同一幅画布之上。程在他们的作品中发现了一只炽烈的凤凰——群星的摇篮，这幅作品是展出的十八幅大型画作之一。该展名为《夜曲：宇宙的协奏》（Nocturnes: A Collaboration of the Cosmos），正在纽约花田画廊（Atelier at Flowerfield Gallery）展出（展期：2025年10月10日至10月31日 ）。

New York-based seasoned intercultural critic, author, and filmmaker J.J. Cheng presents her new documentary" COSMIC LIGHTBEINGS - A Symphony of Celestial Harmony", featuring east-west collaborative art of American artist Randall DiGiuseppe and the Chinese poet–artist Huang Xiang - Their fused creation of paintings, poetry, and calligraphy yes, all on one, singular canvas. Cheng discovers within their work a vibrant phoenix — the nursery of stars — on one of the eighteen large canvases on view at the  “Nocturnes: A Collaboration of the Cosmos,” exhibition at Atelier at Flowerfield Gallery in New York ( Exhibition on View from Oct 10th to Oct, 31st, 2025)

The film captures Cheng’s encounters and dialogues with the artists, whose works explore existential questions of human relationships with the outer world, the universal pursuit of freedom, and personal sovereignty against autocracy. Listen — and read between the lines — of the transcendental poems of Huang Xiang, rendered by the aging but youthful, philosophical, and ethereal performative artist himself on-site of the Gallery studio. His nearly three-decade exile is nothing short of a miracle, sustained by the lifelong love and devotion of his soulmate and wife, Yulan, Zhang Ling, both born in China and who later immigrated to the US in 1997.

Cheng passionately endorsed the works of DiGiyseppe and Huang, recognizing in them a shared fascination with the celestial and the pursuit of human flourishing through the simple yet profound act of looking up. Her novel, Phoenixa: The Nest — A Mystical Quest for the Cheng Legacy, employing the universal icon of the phoenix, likewise celebrates the spirit of human pursuit of the cosmic light and truth.
